Third Friday's Sales Group is Busy, Busy, Busy

At the February 3rd Friday networking breakfast, Nina Johnson spoke about Swiftpage and everyone learned about the cost benefits of e-mail marketing.  She even offered a plan to PWN Members for free if you are only sending out less than 50 e-mails.
The March 3rd Friday Networking focused on developing relationships.  Debbie Cladis leads the group through a process that encourages everyone to share more than their 30 second commercial.  Once information was shared, the group was encouraged to make a one-on-one connection.

Kathryn Humecki Becomes A Certified Valuation Analyst

Kathryn Humecki has successfully completed the certification process with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) to earn her designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).  In a recent announcement, NACVA Chief Executive Officer, Parnell Black, BA, CPA, CVA, noted, “The designation is an indication to the professional community that Kathryn Humecki has met the association’s rigorous standards of professionalism, expertise, objectivity, and integrity in the field of business valuation, litigation support, and related consulting disciplines.”  Business valuations are most commonly required in conjunction with the purchase or sale of a business, succession planning, buy/sell agreement and estate and gift taxes.  Valuations are often necessary in situations of business disruption, dissenting shareholder actions, divorce, and partner disputes.  The Certified Valuation Analyst is the premier accreditation for CPAs who, for many reasons, are uniquely qualified to provide business valuation and litigation consulting services.  As a general rule, CPAs, through their extensive training combined with experience in tax, auditing, accounting for small businesses, and financial analysis, have an excellent background for dealing with the complexities involved in providing valuation services.   Few professional provide the breadth of experience and development the public accounting profession produces, and, thus, a CVA is the preferred choice in selecting the right valuation professional.
